New activity for children

We have a great new activity for youngsters that will engage them in your tour of the site. Our resident possum, Nea, needs your child's help to find certain items in our displays that she has lost track of.

Each child is given a booklet with photos of the items to be found, a pencil to mark those they have located and if one of our volunteers is taking you on a tour, some information about the items.

Once the booklet is completed, back at the office your child is welcome to choose a prize - either a 1c coin with a possum on it in a presentation box or one of various acrylic discs showing photos of different possums on a leather thong.

This popular program enables youngsters to connect with the displays in a personal way and learn about the past as your family walks around.
